Delirium Bust designs

One of the many sketches and turn-arounds I did for a series of small statues featuring characters from Sandman:

  1. How difficult is it to envision the same figure/pose from multiple angles? That kind of stuff just seems like it has to take longer to make sure something like her elbow is bending the same angle from the side as it is from the other side or back view.

    Great example though.

  2. It does take longer but I won't claim that my drawings are 100% accurate. There are probably a few sculptors out there cursing my name.

  5. Asked and given! Thanks for adding the pic to the statue. Looks pretty close to me. How do you feel about the results?

  6. I like it! There are little things, like the tilt and turn of her head that don't seem quite the same and I drew her with a younger face, but those are quibbles. The sculptor did a great job and most likely fixed a dozen details that I'll never notice.
