Punisher Logo roughs

From 1985.  Editor Carl Potts asked me to come up with some designs for this logo after I told him I wanted to focus on lettering for a while. you can see me fumbling around on the first sample, searching for an idea.  The final design incorporates his skull emblem.  I usually don't like designs that are this painfully symmetrical but I think it works.

  2. Yeah, he did the Hellboy logo, Marvel Knights logo, this logo, blah, blah. He's got talent. :)

I like the process that you went through with this logo. I actually liked the version where you shaded the bottom of the block lettering and the eyes of the skull.

  3. I didn't do the Marvel Knights logo and the Hellboy was essentially Mike's design. I just cleaned it up a little and did the final art. In the next few weeks I'll post some of the other logos I've worked on.

  7. I believe you also did the logos for the Doctor Strange solo title and Solomon Kane, right? You also did the top strip art for most of the letters pages in my editorial stable of titles.
